Born in USA,

Raised in New York; studied Classical Western  Civilizations at Columbia University

Influenced by the international  milieu of New York City with roots in Colombia, the middle east and europe.  Most of the visual aspects I aspire to were formed by  the variables that surrounded my  youth: French New Wave Cinema, my upbringing in my Latin Culture\music, Colombian culture, German impressionist art and a love for aesthetics in ancient cultures of Israel,  Greece, Rome , Arabia, and Egypt

The idea/vision always precedes the product.  The vision behind each shoot is the foundation for the photos-  whether its a test shoot , an editorial theme, a product, or a comp card for a model or actor.

Jamie began shooting Fashion events for Moda Latina magazine in the city of New York. Founder and Editor in Chief Jorge Rivera gave Jamie his start , and sent  Jamie and a second shooter to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week  2014 and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York 2015;  NYFW through 2022.  Thereafter Jamie has been freelancing and a Contributer with Getty.
